How To Make A Homemade, All Natural Deodorant For Men
True friends care about the way you smell, which is why I`m writing today- I care about you! I don`t know of a 1 for 1 substitute for the butter, you could try increasing the beeswax and coconut oils to make up for the shea but I don`t know what the consistency of the final product will be. I would experiment with small amounts to see the results before you waste a ton of ingredients.
I found that it`s much nicer to take advantage of the genius behind the store-bought deodorant containers than to have to dig my fingers into a random container to rub my deodorant on. If you have old deodorant containers around, you might want to consider reusing them.
Hi. I`ve started using a paste of baking SODA mixed with water and while it works great—-even though I still sweat (it`s natural, right?!) there`s no smell at all—it can be a bit messy to apply and I end up with white clumps on my counter and/or floor.
It`s important to note that just because an ingredient is natural, it does not mean that some people won`t react to it. So if you do find your home-made deodorant irritates you, experiment with different ingredients until you hit upon a combination that works for you.
I`ve been using this type of home made deodorant for about three years. At the start I developed itchy red bumps under my armpits, though didn`t get the peeling you`ve described. After much experimenting I found that modifying the dry ingredients to 1 part baking soda to 3 parts arrowroot/cornstarch fixed the problem.
